Clients will be accompanied into the massage therapy treatment room where we will go over your health history and goals for the bodywork session.
The massage therapist will then leave the room to allow you to undress to your comfort level and get onto the table. (You should feel free to remove as much or as little of your clothing as you wish. We work with our clients fully draped, meaning that only the part of your body where we are working at that time will be exposed.)
Once you are undressed, on the table, and under the sheets and blanket, the massage therapist will knock to make sure you are ready, come back into the room, and begin the session.
The massage therapist will check in with you throughout the session regarding pressure, temperature, and general comfort. (Only you can feel what is going on inside your own body. If you’re experiencing any pain or discomfort, please inform the massage therapist immediately.) When the session is complete, the massage therapist will again leave the room to allow you to get dressed.
All sessions are completely confidential and client records are maintained in a secure online database.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your massage session for any reason, we kindly ask that you provide us at least 24 hours notice to give someone else the opportunity to schedule an appointment. For cancellations with less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, we reserve the right to charge you the full amount for your missed appointment. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. If your session is shortened due to arriving late, you will still be responsible for full payment of the originally scheduled session.
If you feel that we are not abiding by these General Policies, you should contact us immediately via telephone – 978-473-7574 or via email - info@theburrowmt.com.
